Don't give up on your dreams
That moment when your fingers find the notes, and the music flows through you. Sarah, 42, felt it in week 3. So did 7-year-old Max. Your moment is waiting.

FAQs
Memberships are built around a weekly lesson at your own recurring time. Some members swap their weekly 30-minute lesson for a 60-minute lesson every second week. Same lesson time, same price. Ask at your free trial 🎶
We recommend weekly because it keeps the musical inspiration going and helps prevent succumbing to the forgetting curve
Memberships are $801 every 3 months or $2,745 a year, paid upfront. You don't pay per lesson. You join as a member and everything you need to progress is included.
Every membership includes:
Memberships are paid upfront for 3 months or 12 months and renew automatically on the same date. You pay every 3 months or once a year, not per lesson or per week.
We have three main memberships:
#1 Muso Membership
For most learners who want steady, enjoyable progress with a focused weekly session.
Happy Musicker Membership
For learners who want extra depth each week - more time to play, refine pieces and explore theory, exams or multiple instruments.
Family Musicker Membership
For families with multiple people learning at Music Eternal.
Your first payment also includes a one-time $99 registration fee (incl. GST), so a Muso Membership starting today is $900 upfront, then $801 every 3 months.
Book a Free Trial Lesson to discuss which membership suits you best.
No. Memberships are paid upfront, either $801 every 3 months or $2,745 for the year. Paying upfront means we can keep your weekly time slot, and the books, in-studio instruments and concerts are all included in the price.
If 3 months is a better fit than a year, start there. You can also choose a start date that works for you. Mention it at your free trial.
Every student here gets lessons. The membership is how we make them work: a regular tutor, a weekly time that is yours, your books, and a concert to aim for.
If you want to start small, the 3-month membership is 12 weekly lessons and one payment. Then you decide.
Yes. Your membership reserves a weekly time with a tutor, and keeping both the same is what lets lessons build instead of restarting.
Tutors do move on sometimes: studies finish, lives change. When we know it is coming we plan the handover rather than just reassigning you. You meet the new tutor before the change, the two overlap where we can, and your notes, goals and current pieces go with you so nothing starts over. When someone has to stop at short notice, our first move is to keep your time covered. If we cannot run a lesson, you get a tutor make-up credit for it.
A one-off absence, illness or leave, works the same way: we cover your usual time or credit the lesson back to you. The next question has the detail.
We try two things first: a substitute tutor at your usual time, or an online lesson at the same time with your usual tutor.
If neither suits you, or we cannot run the lesson, we add a tutor make-up credit to your account. That is separate from your own: when you cancel a lesson with 24 hours notice you get one make-up credit a month, and a credit for our cancellation is on top of it rather than using it up. Tutor credits last 90 days, or until the end of your term if that comes sooner. The detail is in our lesson cancellations and make-ups policy.
Tell us. Say what is not working and we will move you to a tutor who suits better. A tutor make-up credit can also be used to trial a different tutor or time, so you can try before you switch.
The students who drift away are usually the ones with gaps between lessons, a different tutor each month with nothing passed on, and no goal in sight. Casual lessons tend to produce all three, so we do not offer them.
If you want to try us first, that is what the free trial lesson is for, and the 3-month membership is the smallest commitment after it.
Our memberships follow a 48-week teaching year. In a typical year you receive:
We take around 4 weeks off over Christmas / New Year. Your membership fee stays the same every 3 months, because the price is based on the 48 teaching weeks. All rehearsals and concerts are included in the membership - students perform and attend at no extra charge. Only audience tickets for friends and family are charged separately at the events.
No! We have a range of instruments in our "Instruments" library that you are welcome to use for free during lessons. You can also hire instruments from our hire catalogue, or if you'd like an instrument of your own, you can buy it from us with a 10% discount from our sister business, Muso World (an online music store)
PS - We also have a catalogue of instruments donated to our "Instrument Foster Program". These instruments are from local musicians who don't want them to be unplayed or unloved.
NEVER!
We have a thriving musical membership with many adults and seniors in our community. You are never too old to learn something new, and music is never too late (it's just Jazz 😉 🙌 )
Yes
Yes, you can! All our teachers have their own Music Eternal email, You can email your teacher anytime between lessons with musical questions or to share your musical progress. You can also ask for help with your practice or to clarify something from your lesson. However keep in mind that teachers are not always available to respond immediately, so please allow time for a response.
Yes, you can change your instrument at any time! There is no additional cost but your time slot may change. If you want to change the instrument you are learning, just let us know, and we'll help you make the switch to your new musical adventure. A lot of our teachers are Polymusical (they can play and teach more than one instrument competently) so there is a chance you might stay with your existing teacher, otherwise we will switch you to one of our other teachers. This change however, depends on your teachers availability.

Everyone ends the trial lesson having learnt one new thing.
